How often should I have my pet groomed?
The ideal grooming frequency largely depends on your pet’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle.
Generally:
Long-haired breeds often need grooming every 4-8 weeks to prevent matting.
Short-haired breeds may only require it every 8-12 weeks.
We always recommend regular at-home brushing between professional grooms to keep your pet’s coat healthy and looking its best!
What services are typically included in a standard grooming session?
A standard grooming session includes a bath with pet-safe shampoo, blow-dry, full brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw pad trimming, and a sanitary trim if needed. Light coat styling or trimming may also be provided depending on your pet’s needs.
Do you groom all types of pets, or just dogs? What about cats?
We specialize in dog grooming but also provide grooming for cats. Since cats often need a quieter and gentler approach, we recommend booking in advance so we can create the calmest environment possible.
What vaccinations does my pet need before grooming?
For the safety of all pets, dogs should be current on Rabies, DHPP (Distemper/Parvo), and Bordetella vaccines. Cats should be up to date on Rabies and FVRCP. Proof of vaccination may be required at your first appointment.
How long does a grooming session usually take?
Most sessions take 2–4 hours, depending on your pet’s size, coat type, and the services requested. Small breeds and short-haired pets may be finished sooner, while larger or long-haired pets may take more time.
