The ideal grooming frequency largely depends on your pet’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle.
Generally:
Long-haired breeds often need grooming every 4-8 weeks to prevent matting.
Short-haired breeds may only require it every 8-12 weeks.
We always recommend regular at-home brushing between professional grooms to keep your pet’s coat healthy and looking its best!
A standard grooming session usually includes a full bath with pet-safe shampoo, blow-dry, brushing to remove tangles and loose fur, nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw pad trimming, and a sanitary trim if needed. For longer-coated pets, light trimming or styling may also be included.
We primarily specialize in dog grooming, but we also offer grooming services for cats. Because cats often require a gentler, stress-free approach, we recommend booking in advance so we can provide a calm environment tailored to your cat’s needs.
For the safety of all pets in our care, we require dogs to be up to date on Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella (kennel cough). Cats should be current on Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. Please bring proof of vaccination at your first appointment.
On average, a grooming session takes 2–4 hours depending on your pet’s size, coat type, and the specific services requested. Smaller breeds and short-haired pets may be finished sooner, while larger or long-haired pets may take a bit longer.
